Skillet Cauliflower Torrisi

Does anyone agree with me that cauliflower tends to get a bad rap? Now, admittedly, it's not my favorite vegetable, but saute it in garlic and olive oil, top it with a cheesy breadcrumb topping, and I'm all over it!

Hi and welcome to "The Italian Next Door". That's me ! I'm Joann...I'm a wife, mother, and homemaker who loves to cook and bake and who has a special passion for Italian food and my Italian heritage.

I'm a bit of a cookbook junkie (well over 200 last time I counted, with more than half being specifically Italian or baking books). I have realized it will be nearly impossible to try every recipe in every book in my lifetime (not gettin' any younger)...and I mean a girl can only eat so much.

But, maybe if I go through those recipes in a more determined way, thinking of sharing them with you, whoever you might be, then all the investment won't be for naught. (books are expensive these days!) I plan to concentrate on the Italian recipes with some baking thrown in for sure.

Well, I hope you'll join me on this journey, and hopefully you'll discover some great new recipes and learn a little more about the Italian culture and why I love my Italian roots.
